Following the sacking of Matt Bloomfield, and his backroom staff, it seemed to be the courteous thing to do to gauge the opinion of the Hatters support.
To me, it wasn’t a shock that Bloomfield was sacked but more the speed with which it was done.
I half expected the former Wycombe Wanderers boss to be given until the end of the month, to turn things around.
However, we all know what the delay in sacking Rob Edwards did for our fate and I’m guessing, sacking Bloomfield on Monday, gives the Hatters hierarchy a couple of weeks to source a suitable replacement before the home game against Mansfield Town.
Nevertheless, returning to gauging the views of the Hatters support, I used our poll facility to simply ask:
Was The Time Right To Sack Matt Bloomfield?
With just TWO options to choose from:
YES
or
NO
The response was pretty clear with 86% going for the YES option and a mere 14% going for the NO option.
I wonder, when a new gaffer is appointed, whether the supporter’s acceptance of the new man is just as one-sided?
We can only wait and see.
