A part of me just wants this whole managerial saga to be sorted out quickly, so that we can all move on.

But, also, another part of me wants it to drag on a little longer as I am starting to find the whole situation intriguing.

Each and every day sees the saga take another turn with the bookmakers’ odds changing or another potential candidate emerging.

For example, take today!

As I study the revised listing, it appears that Jack Wilshere is still the favourite to succeed Matt Bloomfield but that Richie Wellens, currently in the Leyton Orient hot seat, is now the second favourite behind Jack Wilshere.

But, looking at Jack Wilshere as our, possible, manager and with reference to our ongoing poll, it would not be a popular appointment with a colossal 81% of the votes cast opposing his appointment.

However, those who are anticipating that Alex Lawless may be given the gig, presumably, as a cheaper option with no compensation package to sort out, might be disappointed that, according to the bookmakers’ listings, has started to drift down the list, not too surprising after the Cambridge United debacle.
