Another dismal performance, on the pitch, this time at Cambridge United, has emphasised just how much work the new incumbent of the managerial hot seat, at Kenilworth Road, has to do.

Indeed, many potential candidates may well have tuned in last night and are now having second thoughts with regards to throwing their hat into the ring for the vacant position.

Yesterday, in this ongoing series, well at least until a new boss is appointed, we covered two potential candidates – Jack Wilshere – and – Luke Williams.

This morning, if the media are correct, then Jack Wilshere is still the firm favourite for the job.

But what about the others who, according to the bookmakers, are on the list of candidates?

Today, I thought I’d take a look at Ian Evatt.

Evatt, during his playing career, was a no-nonsense centre back, who played for a raft of clubs but spending the majority of his career with Blackpool and Chesterfield.

At Blackpool, he was part of the team that climbed the Football League ladder from League One to the Premier League.
