Marti Cifuentes could reverse many of his changes at Millwall with the Leicester City manager defending his decision to rotate at Hull.

Cifuentes brought in the likes of Boubakary Soumare, Patson Daka and Jordan Ayew for the 2-1 loss on Humberside in midweek, players that are not especially popular among supporters for their roles in previous relegation campaigns.

With losing for the first time in nine matches, Cifuentes’ selection has been a hot topic in the days since.

While he initially hinted that the performance may prompt him to rethink his selections for this weekend, he said on Thursday that rotation was required to ensure the squad remains injury-free through the season.

Among those dropping out were Ricardo Pereira, Jeremy Monga and Aaron Ramsey, the latter being eased in after he missed a few weeks through suspension.

Jordan James was also taken off at half-time to protect him from overexertion with the midfielder playing more than 100 minutes...
