Patson Daka’s 94th-minute header into Max Crocombe’s hands summed up what was Leicester City’s most concerning performance of the season.

It wasn’t that Daka should have found the net – he’d have done well to score a header from his position 15 yards out – but that it was the first shot on target City registered in the second half.

They were chasing the game for a whole 45 minutes and it wasn’t until added time that they made the opposition goalkeeper work. They really were toothless.

It’s not even as if they were creating chances but lacking accuracy. They only mustered five attempts in total after the interval. They just didn’t look like scoring. Millwall were comfortable.

The Lions have, in fairness, been good in these scenarios. This was the sixth time they’ve scored first in a game this season. They’d won all of the previous five and only conceded once.

But more is expected of City. They are not...
