Odsonne Edouard has issued a withering assessment of former Leicester City boss Ruud Van Nistelrooy by insisting "being a great striker doesn't make you a great manager."

Edouard struggled to make an impression at the King Power having joined from Crystal Palace on a loan deal and barely featured for the Dutchman last season.

Leicester were ultimately relegated from the top flight as van Nistelrooy left the club and are now trying to climb their way back to the Premier League under Martí Cifuentes

Edouard is now playing for RC Lens in France having joined the club for an undisclosed fee in the summer.

He is now reaping the benefits of that move having scored three goals in five league appearances.

But in an interview with L'Equipe, Edouard did not think much of van Nistelrooy.
