Aaron Ramsey felt a “pop” in his hamstring at Millwall, increasing fears the Leicester City midfielder is set for a stint on the sidelines.

Ramsey pulled up inside the first minute of the second half at The Den after sprinting forward to try to join a City attack.

After a few minutes of treatment, he picked himself up and hobbled off the pitch to be replaced by Julian Carranza.

Further analysis of Ramsey’s injury is required over the next few days to determine its severity, but it has the potential to put him out for at least a few weeks.

“It’s difficult to say how bad it can be but definitely he felt a pop in his hamstring,” manager Marti Cifuentes said after the game. “It’s definitely a muscular injury but how bad it is we don’t know yet.”
