Marti Cifuentes insists his Leicester City squad care and that they’re “suffering” through the poor form too.

The mood at City hit a new low for the season on Saturday after a 1-0 defeat at Millwall, with Cifuentes’ side now on a run of just one win in eight.

Fans expressed their unhappiness at full-time at The Den, booing and shouting at the squad and the manager when they came over to the away end.

With City back in the Championship and with a squad made up of players to have suffered two relegations in three years, supporters question whether those on the pitch are committed to the cause.

But Cifuentes insists they are, and says he gets first-hand evidence of such in training.

“I think for all of us and the way I am as a manager as well, it’s important to be humble,” Cifuentes said following Saturday’s defeat.
