Birmingham City have been linked with a move for Aston Villa's Emi Buendia - and one pundit has not ruled Blues out of a bid for the playmaker.

With Blues struggling for goals in the Championship, Buendia has become a name that is being rumoured to be of interest having previously shown interest in the playmaker.

Sky Sports pundit Lee Hendrie believes Blues could reignite their bid to land the former Norwich City man.

“I’m not sure what’s going to happen with Emi,” Hendrie told Football League World.

“He has been used an awful lot, and he says that he wants to fight and stay at Villa.

“I can understand why, because of the situation they’re in, what competitions they’re in, and he’s built his fitness and he’s playing and starting games.

“I know Birmingham have been interested in him and have been looking for a number 10, creative, a bit of flair.

“I’m sure they’ll be looking at maybe reigniting that little bit of interest for Buendia.
