Earlier this week, Alexander Isak declared:

“I want to be a leader and feel a responsibility, both on and off the pitch.”

Sweden manager Jon Dahl Tomasson responded to this declaration from the Liverpool striker, by making him captain for Friday night’s must win game against Switzerland.

Switzerland absolutely dominating Alexander Isak and Sweden at the Strawberry Arena, the Swiss winning 2-0, but it could and should have been double that and more.

You can only guess what United’s Anthony Elanga thought about this absolute shambles as he watched from the bench, Tomasson refusing to take off Isak or Gyokeres and the pair of them absolutely woeful, as Sweden’s world cup finals hopes all but disappeared completely.
