Newcastle United hope to avoid a repeat of the dilemma they faced over Bruno Guimaraes' fitness last month after he represented Brazil on international duty.

Guimaraes played 79 minutes on Friday and created his side's first goal for Chelsea forward Willian Estevao as Brazil thrashed South Korea 5-0 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.

The Newcastle captain's clever pass split the South Korean defence and the teenager latched on to the ball in the box before finishing with aplomb.

The 27-year-old has emerged as a key player under Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti and was the only outfield Selecao player to start both games last month as they brought their World Cup qualifying campaign to a close.
