West Yorkshire Police has charged a 28-year-old man from Leeds with throwing an object onto the pitch during Leeds United’s Premier League match vs Tottenham Hotspur last Saturday. He has been released on bail and is due to appear before Leeds’ Magistrates Court next month.

The Force has also published a photograph (see feature image) of another male they wish to speak to in connection with a separate incident of projectile throwing during the same game on Saturday, October 4. Police ask that anyone who recognises this male to contact them.

Two incidents of alleged projectile throwing appeared to be captured by cameras. An object seemed to be aimed at Tottenham attacker Mohamed Kudus during his celebration while Spurs defender Pedro Porro was pictured holding up a pink vape which he suggested was thrown at him.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an object being thrown onto the pitch during the Leeds v Tottenham match last weekend. The incident occurred during the game at Elland Road, Leeds, on Saturday 4 October.
