Ben Forster did not appreciate what he saw from a Tottenham star at Elland Road on Saturday after he had just made a decisive contribution to his side.

There is usually one player who always bears the brunt of a fan base at any given time. This time last season, it was Brennan Johnson, who even deactivated his social media amid criticism from fans.

Now, the player who is feeling the wrath of the supporters is Guglielmo Vicario, who some Spurs fans have called to be dropped in light of some of his errors of late.

This is despite the fact that stats suggest that Vicario remains one of the best shot-stoppers in the Premier League this season.

There were perhaps a few question marks about how the Italian dealt with Leeds’ first-half goal, with the 28-year-old parrying the shot into the danger area.

However, in Vicario’s defence, the initial shot was deflected, and the goalkeeper made amends with some of the saves he made at Elland Road.

While Foster revealed that he was impressed with one particular stop that the former Empoli man produced, he admitted that he hated the Tottenham number one’s reaction after that.
