Ibrahima Konate continues to be troubled by injury after being forced off in Liverpool's defeat to Chelsea, after the defender sat out training with France on Tuesday evening. The 26-year-old linked up with Didier Deschamps' squad following the Reds' loss at Stamford Bridge, but was excused from Les Bleus' latest session.

Le Parisen reports that both the centre-back - who injured his quad against Chelsea - and France captain Kylian Mbappe, who is carrying an ankle injury, were spotted signing autographs in basketball shoes before leaving the court and returning to the gym for treatment.

France host Azerbaijan on Friday before travelling to Iceland on Monday 13 October, with it currently unclear what role Konate and Mbappe will be able to play in either World Cup qualifier.
