Aston Villa versus Coventry City used to be a regular fixture in the Premier League until the Sky Blues dropped out of the top flight in 2001.

But with Frank Lampard's side now riding high at the top of the Championship, hopes are high that Coventry can return to English football's top table.

Villa fans still believe that their 3-2 win in May 2001 was a major factor in Coventry's relegation from the Premier League having come from 2-0 down to seal a famous win.

Since then Villa and Coventry have not faced each other in 24 years although some fans are hoping that rivalry can be renewed.
