Steven Gerrard has confessed he's keen to get back into management amid ongoing speculation linking him with the vacant Rangers job. The Liverpool icon enjoyed a triumphant three-year reign at the helm of the Scottish giants early in his coaching career, guiding them to the Premiership crown in 2021.

That achievement saw him poached by Aston Villa in November 2021, though he would last for just 11 months in a dismal spell at Villa Park. Gerrard then made a contentious switch to the Saudi Pro League when he took charge of Al-Ettifaq in July 2023, but stepped down from his role after merely 18 months.

Without a club since January, Gerrard, who appeared on the latest instalment of the Rio Ferdinand Presents podcast, has disclosed he's been approached with several opportunities to return to management, though the timing hasn't been suitable.
