At full-time, Harry Winks and Hamza Choudhury were in deep conversation, presumably digesting and analysing how Leicester City had not come away with victory.

Thankfully, they had a manager who very neatly summarised the game for them. Labelling the team’s performance “arrogant”, Marti Cifuentes did not hold back. It was the most critical he has been in his City tenure.

While scathing, it didn’t feel unjust. It felt like an apt description of how the game had panned out. City had believed themselves to be in charge, such was their dominance of possession and territory, and they thought they could ease to three points.

Cifuentes described it as “fake control”. City gave off the image of a side that was in command, but neither had the scoreline nor even the quality of chances to show for it.

Arrogance is perhaps the worst trait for the team to show. They are in the Championship for a reason. They’re not above this league. They cannot ease to 1-0 victories.
