Marti Cifuentes brandished his Leicester City players as “a bit arrogant” and said they were punished by Wrexham for having “fake control”.

Cifuentes was at the most critical he’s been in his City tenure following the 1-1 draw with the Welsh side, with a late goal conceded after complacency crept in.

City dominated for large parts but didn’t create enough chances for a second goal and then relaxed too much, allowing Nathan Broadhead to score an equaliser.

It means City’s wait for a win extends to four games, with all of those matches ending in draws.

Cifuentes was not happy with his players, but also criticised himself and the impact of his substitutes.

“I’m definitely very disappointed because today I have a feeling we threw away two points,” Cifuentes said. “It’s all respect to Wrexham, they got what they deserved.

“We started the game very well. We had a good 45 minutes and scored a good goal and had good control. Perhaps the only chance they created was our own mistake.
