Conor Coady provided “invaluable” insight into Leicester City players to help Wrexham claim a point at the King Power Stadium.

Coady was an unused substitute for the Welsh side on Tuesday night but had made his mark on the game in a meeting with staff and analysts prior to the match.

Sold by City to Wrexham for £2m shortly after Cifuentes arrived at the club, Coady helped the Wrexham management team with some inside information on his former team-mates, boss Phil Parkinson said, adding to the work already done by the staff.

“His knowledge about Leicester was very helpful for us today,” Parkinson said.

“We had Conor come in with us and the analysts yesterday and he was talking through the individuals.

“As a staff, we’ve watched a lot of the players and I was there Friday at West Brom, but having that extra insight as well was invaluable for us.”
