The manager of Rangers loan target Cameron Archer has discussed his future.

The 24-year-old didn't play in Southampton's recent 2-0 win over Stoke City and has been linked with a loan transfer to the Ibrox club.

Southampton head coach Tonda Eckert clarified Archer's current standing, saying: "There’s been some conversations going on over the last few days.

"I think there will be some news over the next two days."

The striker's exclusion from the squad has fuelled speculation about a possible move to Glasgow.
