Thomas Frank may lose two of his key Tottenham players to suspensions over the coming weeks if they are not careful.

Tottenham already has a long list of injury absentees, but there appears to be some light at the end of the tunnel for the Lilywhites.

Cristian Romero, Wilson Odobert, and Destiny Udogie returned to action against Chelsea, while Dominic Solanke is edging closer to a return after undergoing surgery a little over a month ago.

However, if the Lilywhites are not careful, they might soon be without two of their most important players, who are now hovering close to suspension.

Players in the Premier League have to serve a one-match suspension if they accumulate five yellow cards in the first half of the season (until gameweek 19).

Two of Tottenham’s players are getting closer to that number at the moment, with Cristian Romero and Mohammed Kudus both currently sitting on three bookings.

That means that if either Kudus or Romero pick up two yellow cards within the next eight league matches, they will have to sit out one game.

Micky van de Ven, Djed Spence, Kevin Danso, Xavi Simons and Joao Palhinha have accumulated two bookings each this season.
