We all love heads falling off in football. This week, it’s the turn of Copenhagen and Jacob Neestrup after losing to Tottenham.

Tottenham ran out 4-0 winners on Tuesday, with goals from Brennan Johnson, Wilson Odobert, Micky van de Ven and Joao Palhinha securing all points. They were comfortable winners, even with Johnson seeing red in the 57th minute.

Neestrup was unimpressed with his team’s performance, and the ‘stomach churning blow’ of not having an impact against a 10-man team.

“I think it hits really hard. I won’t lie about that,” he said.

“It’s completely fair to lose to Tottenham. It’s completely fair to lose to a team that is better than you. But it’s far from FC Copenhagen’s international style and discipline.

“This is not how we should represent ourselves in Europe. This is not how we should represent Danish football in a European context. It’s far from that, and I can only regret it.”
