Ex-Newcastle United striker Louis Saha has given his take on why Alexander Isak's form at Liverpool isn't matching up to his previous performances at St. James' Park. The Reds bought Isak from the Magpies on transfer deadline day in a deal worth £130million.

Since his departure from St James' Park, Isak has only scored one goal for Liverpool in eight appearances, which came against Southampton in the Carabao Cup.

Prior to his injury, Isak had played three consecutive Premier League matches without scoring a goal and missed the recent defeat to Brentford due to a groin problem.

Before his move to Liverpool, Isak was in fine form for Newcastle last season, scoring 27 goals, including one in the Carabao Cup final victory over the Reds in March. Those impressive performances earned him a place in the PFA Team of the Year for last season.
