Jamie Carragher has taken aim at Gary Neville for misquoting him and moved to clarify comments he made about long-throws and set-pieces. The former Liverpool defender used a section of last week's Monday Night Football a day after his old club had been beaten by Manchester United to highlight how long throws have become a tactic used by sides in the Premier League.

Then, during the latest episode of The Overlap podcast, Neville hit out at Carragher's opinion on long throws - insisting he loves them. He said: "Carra said the other night on Monday Night Football... I thought it was really interesting because to be fair I disagree with the point, but he's not here - I wish he was here... he said he hates long throws and somebody else said it yesterday. They hate long throws. I'm like I love long throws."
