DANNY Welbeck once again told of his "love" for Sunderland after the Brighton striker's double against Newcastle United.

Welbeck, now 34, has always had a soft spot for the Black Cats after a loan spell on Wearside early in his career, and remains a popular figure with Sunderland fans - even more so after his recent strikes against the Magpies.

Welbeck scored the winners in league and FA Cup games at St James' Park last season and helped himself to a double against Eddie Howe's side at the Amex Stadium on Saturday.
