DEFENDER Joshua Quarshie is touch and go ahead of Saints facing Swansea City on Saturday, manager Will Still revealed.

Quarshie returned early from Germany under-21 duty this month after picking up a small groin problem during Southampton's 1-1 draw with Derby just before the break.

He initially travelled back to his home country but withdrew from the squad ahead of their first game following further checks.

Quarshie returned to Saints training on Thursday, but further checks will be carried out ahead of this weekend's 12:30 kick-off.

"He felt something in his groin after the game at Derby, but was checked and was relatively happy to travel. He was then checked by the German national team," Still explained.
