Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi has shared his delight after making just his second appearance for Argentina, after he chose them over Italy.

El Grafico cover comments from the Bournemouth star today, in which he admits he wants more appearances in future.

The 28-year-old returned to the international set up for just the second time this week. He played 90 minutes in the win over Venezuela.

He previously made his debut all the way back in 2022. That was a 28-minute appearance in an international friendly against Estonia. He’s not made it back into a squad since then.

That’s despite establishing himself as a key player for Bournemouth. He joined them in 2022 in a €15m deal from Feyenoord. He’s since made 97 appearances in total, continuing to impress even behind the likes of Dean Huijsen and Ilya Zabarnyi last season.

Now he’s a starter once again after their departures. And his form this season have earned him a return to the international scene with Argentina. That’s something he’s delighted about, having previously chosen them over Italy.
