Crystal Palace may be given a second shot at Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck in January, thanks to his World Cup dreams.

That’s according to BILD, who report that the centre-back wants to leave in the January transfer window.

The newspaper explains that Bisseck was considered Germany’s ‘great defensive hope’ but that’s turned this year. That is because he’s out of the picture at Inter Milan.

New boss Christian Chivu has almost sidelined him at the club, handing him just 157 minutes to date. That was also partly due to a 69-day absence after he picked up an injury in the Champions League final.

A back-up role is no good to his hopes of going to the World Cup. And, so, BILD report that the defender is ‘open to leaving Inter’ in the next transfer window. He knows he needs regular minutes to get into Julian Nagelsmann’s squad.

That’s good news for Crystal Palace. They were keen on him in the summer but couldn’t get a deal done. But they remain ‘very interested’ in the defender, particularly with Marc Guehi looking likely to leave.
