Florian Wirtz has struggled to adapt so far and has been tried out in multiple positions.

Most of the Reds’ new signings have not exactly hit the ground running or made a real impression, with fans starting to become a little frustrated.

Wirtz has probably disappointed the most given how much he arrived for, with zero goals or assists perhaps a cause for concern.

Arne Slot seems a little unsure too as he has tried the German out in different positions to no avail, even dropping him to the bench on a few occasions.

However, the 22-year-old seems to still have confidence that he will succeed, and he may have already subtly told his manager where he needs to be playing in the team.

During his time at Bayer Leverkusen, Wirtz almost always played as the number 10 as the facilitator behind the striker.

Due to his ability, though, he is very versatile and also played out on the left, with this something that has caused Slot a few headaches.
