The agent of Lyon's Malick Fofana admits they are looking to engineer a deal that could involve a transfer to Liverpool. And Frederico Pena, who represents the 20-year-old winger, says Fofana "belongs" at a club with the stature of the Premier League champions.

Pena - who is the general manager of Roc Nation Sports, founded by rap megastar Jay-Z - says the organisation are thinking big about the career of Fofana, who had interest from Everton in the summer transfer window.

The Belgium international scored 11 times and picked up seven assists in his 41 games for Lyon last time out and is likely to be part of his country's squad at next summer's World Cup, should Rudi Garcia's side qualify for the competition.
