Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has named the ‘only thing’ that can stop Arsenal winning the Premier League title this term in a new claim.

The Gunners have made a fine start to the season and sit top of the top-flight table after the opening seven games of the 2025-26 campaign.

Arsenal have finished second the last three seasons in a row but many pundits, including Gary Neville, believe they’ll get the job done this time.

But Carragher says his former club Liverpool, who are currently second and one point behind Mikel Arteta’s team, could still end up on top this term.

Liverpool are the current champions of England and Carragher also feels Manchester City shouldn’t be written off either.
