Katie Reid has won our Women’s Player of the Month award for September.

Our young defender finished first in the supporter-voted award with a whopping 60% of the vote, while Alessia Russo came second and Olivia Smith finished third.

Katie, who only turned 19 at the end of September, has triumphed for the first time in her Arsenal career as she continues to showcase her talents. She played every minute of every match last month, fitting into the backline comfortably and forming a partnership with Steph Catley that helped us to a clean sheet away to Manchester United.

After that match, she said: “The girls make it such an easy transition. I play with one of the best players like Steph so they just make it easy, and they're so supportive, and the coaches have been really good with me and giving information. I've really enjoyed it.”
