Tottenham named a potential destination for long-term target that could spell an end to Kulusevski’s time at the club

Tottenham Hotspur are understood to be a realistic destination for a potential summer move for Barcelona winger Raphinha.

Following the recent run of poor results, North Londoners head coach Ange Postecoglou indicated that a major overhaul is around the corner as Daniel Levy and the officials at Spurs look to increase the ceiling of the roster available to the Australian’s disposal next season.

The Lilywhites have been labeled as potential suitors for Barcelona’s number 11, with Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo describing them as a realistic prospect. The report states that Tottenham wanted to sign the former Leeds United ace for a while, and there is a distinct possibility that they can finally secure his services.

Tottenham Hotspur eye Barcelona’s Raphinha as part of summer rebuild.

With the financial problems at Camp Now and their willingness to raise funds, a bid of €55 million (£47 million) should be enough to seal a deal.

However, despite Barca’s willingness to redeem his services, the Brazilian international does not want to move away from Catalonia and wants to fight for his place. He feels that he could become a key player under Xavi Hernandez, and if the past eleven games are a subset, he definitely has played an integral role at the club.

In 35 appearances across all competitions this season, the 27-year-old has netted nine goals and contributed to 12 assists.

Ange would love to have a player of his quality at his disposal next season; however, it is to be seen if the Brazilian is willing to accept a transfer away from Barcelona this summer.

Dejan Kulusevski has not been playing to his full potential from the right wing lately, and any move for Raphiniha could foresee an end to his regular play time at N17. There is always a possibility of the Swede international moving in a central role; however, Spurs needs this high accountability culture to ensure qualitative competition across the pitch.

Raphiniha is a dream signing for Tottenham; however, there are multiple inter-dependent aspects that need to align for the North Londoners to sign him.
