St. Pauli could be in line for a nice boost this summer if Fabian Hürzeler gets the big move that he wants.

BILD report that the German club negotiated a sell-on clause with Brighton when Hürzeler joined Brighton in 2024. Reports are now linking him with a return to the Bundesliga this summer.

Bayer Leverkusen interest

A report this week stated that Bayern Leverkusen have Fabian Hürzeler on their list once again as they consider a managerial change in the summer.

The club is thinking of parting ways with Kasper Hjulmand this summer and Hürzeler is once again on their list. The German club wanted him when Xabi Alonso left, but they considered his release clause of around €20m too high.

That has now fallen and Hürzeler is considered more affordable this summer. The 33-year-old has even made it known behind the scenes he wants to leave Brighton this summer for a Champions League club.

That’s given Leverkusen hope they can get him this summer. Of course, they would have to qualify for the Champions League first.
