TRANMERE Rovers have confirmed midfielder Richie Smallwood has left Prenton Park to join Bristol Rovers on loan until end of the season.

Former Bradford player Smallwood, 35, who was named in last season's League Two Team of the Season for his part in the Bantams' promotion campaign was made Tranmere Rovers captain after joining last summer.
