TRANMERE Rovers had more misery piled on them by Shrewsbury Town with a 1-0 victory at New Meadow.

Rovers sit just three points above the League Two relegation zone after Sam Stubbs scored the only goal of the contest.

Rovers boss Pete Wild is still waiting for his first win since taking charge last month, having overseen four games of a nine-match winless run.

The draw at Fleetwood in his first match at the helm remains Tranmere’s only point since mid February and they have just one win from their previous 16 outings.
