Rangers are hoping to conclude a loan deal with an option to buy for Wolfsburg winger Andreas Skov Olsen.

The Ibrox club had enquired about the Denmark international, previously a target in 2022, but it was seen as a long shot. However, Olsen is keen on a move to Glasgow and discussions have progressed over the last couple of days.

As per the Rangers Review, the talks have been centred around a loan until the end of the season with an option to make it permanent in the summer. Wolfsburg are trying to offload the 26-year-old just a year after paying £12million to sign him from Club Brugge.

Danny Rohl is attempting to equip his squad for a title push and the wide areas are of particular interest. There were several other options given Olsen was seen as a long shot, but progress is now being made on a move for him.

Following positive discussions between the clubs, personal terms have been agreed with the player.
