Barry Ferguson has issued his verdict on the Scottish Premiership title as Rangers, Celtic and Hearts are all in the title race.

Currently, Hearts are in the driver’s seat as they are three points clear atop the Scottish Premiership table.

However, Rangers have the chance to go top if they manage to beat Dundee United at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.

Ferguson undoubtedly would want Rangers to win the title, but is refusing to call it at this stage.

He was even unwilling to write off Celtic despite them being five points behind the league leaders.

Should Hearts win on Sunday, momentarily, they will be eight points clear of the Hoops, which is a huge psychological blow for the defending champions.

That said, Ferguson admits that Hearts and Rangers would have to collapse for the Parkhead outfit to win the title.
