Danny Rohl is finally getting his long-awaited transfer breakthroughs.

After a slow start to the January window, the pressure was building on Andrew Cavenagh and the 49ers Enterprises to get deals done.

However, that pressure was lifted when Rangers confirmed the signing of Tochi Chukwuani on Sunday, with the midfielder joining from Sturm Graz for around £4million.

Meanwhile, Andreas Skov Olsen has emerged on Rangers’ transfer radar, with the Wolfsburg winger seemingly keen on a move to Ibrox.

So, with a central midfielder through the door and a winger seemingly waiting in the wings to join, Rohl is now starting to make some major headway in the market.

However, there is one position in particular that has been viewed by many Rangers fans as being the main priority to strengthen at this month: left-back.

Currently, Rohl only has 19-year-old Brentford loanee Jayden Meghoma as his sole option in that position, and with him returning to his parent club in the summer, the long-term future in that department looks far from stable.

But, Rangers have now made a breakthrough in their pursuit for reinforcements there, with Westerlo’s Tuur Rommens set to sign at Ibrox imminently.
