The league's governing body has handed down the punishments to all four clubs, with suspended sentences felt by all, and in Rangers and Motherwell's cases, there are financial consequences, with the cost of 50 tickets set to be paid for their respective upcoming away fixtures. Additionally, both clubs will have 50 fewer fans as part of their allocation for games at Easter Road and Dens Park in February.

An SPFL statement reads: "The SPFL has confirmed that Aberdeen, Hibernian, Motherwell and Rangers have been found to be in breach of SPFL rules following disciplinary proceedings into the behaviour of the clubs’ supporters at matches in season 2025/26.

"Proceedings into large-scale, organised and illegal pyrotechnics displays at five separate matches in November and December this season – Dundee v Aberdeen, Falkirk v Motherwell, Motherwell v Hibernian, Kilmarnock v Rangers and Rangers v Motherwell - have now concluded.
