Rangers have finally woken from their January slumber and kicked into action in the winter transfer window.

Although Danny Rohl has overseen a major transformation in Rangers’ form, the German boss has every right to still think his squad needs adding to after what was a disastrous summer transfer window, thanks to Russell Martin and Kevin Thelwell.

There’s no doubt that the Gers are back in the Scottish Premiership title race, but even with that, there are still major flaws in Rohl’s squad that need fixing before the transfer window closes on 2 February.

And it seems that the first port of call for Rohl is to improve Rangers’ defensive options.

Rangers are now on the verge of signing Tuur Rommens from Belgian club KCV Westerlo.

According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Rommens is now in Glasgow and undergoing a medical on Thursday night, ahead of completing a permanent move to Ibrox.

Rommens has played 15 times for Westerlo this season in the Jupiler Pro League and looks set to add a new left-back option for Rohl.
