Leicester City number one Jakub Stolarczyk will miss at least a few weeks of action with a groin injury.

Stolarczyk was substituted at half-time in City’s 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough having battled through to the interval, the Pole having received treatment at the start of the first period.

Now Stolarczyk has undergone scans and it’s revealed that his groin problem will at least keep him out of this weekend’s clash at Norwich, and potentially more games after the international break too.

“Unfortnately he picked up a muscular injury in his groin,” City manager Marti Cifuentes said at his press conference on Thursday.

“We had to do a scan yesterday. The results were clear. It’s not a big one but he will need some time to recover. It’s going to be definitely some weeks.”

Asmir Begovic will likely make his first start for the club with Fran Vieites on the bench. But Jake Donohue will be third choice on the day after the Under-21s’ first-choice goalkeeper...
