Leicester City title-winner Jeff Schlupp won’t be able to haunt his former club after he suffered a hamstring injury.

City academy graduate Schlupp is now at Norwich after a free transfer from Crystal Palace in the summer, and looked set for a reunion with the club at Carrow Road this weekend.

But utility man Schlupp pulled up with a hamstring issue on Wednesday night, during the Canaries’ 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday, and recovery in time for the weekend is not expected.

“It looks like a hamstring again,” boss Liam Manning said. “It doesn’t look good. We’ve got enough as it is, it really doesn’t help.

“I’m scratching my head. I’ve never experienced it before. When I look at the work that’s done, we play Saturday and I thought he (Schlupp) was outstanding first half.

“We’re off Sunday and then we do our recovery work on Monday, we were very light yesterday and then we go again tonight. Then that happens. It’s frustrating, it’s difficult, it’s challenging. We have to...
