Albion honoured two of their five England internationals.

Now they wait to see whether the group soon becomes six.

Steve Foster and Peter Ward received legacy caps at the Lancing training ground.

The former England centre-back and forward were handed the caps by Three Lions internationals in their own positions.

Lewis Dunk did the honours for Foster, who was capped three times in the 1980s and helped England to three clean sheets.

Danny Welbeck stepped forward for Ward, whose one cap came in Australia.

Dunk himself has played six times for England while an Albion player.

Welbeck has 42 appearances for the national team but none of them were with the Seagulls.

He is understood to be under consideration for the squad who will face Serbia and Albania in the coming international window.

The England quartet enjoyed a chat and a few jokes as they met with current Albion boss Fabian Hurzeler.

Foster and Ward were also given a tour of the training ground and appeared before fans at the 3-0 win over Leeds.
