Liverpool Women will be without Gemma Bonner for their upcoming Women’s Super League clash with Brighton.

Gareth Taylor revealed that the defender suffered a head clash in training, but gave some encouraging updates regarding some of Liverpool’s other stars.

Gemma Bonner to miss Liverpool vs Brighton after head clash

Liverpool defender Gemma Bonner will miss their clash with Brighton this weekend after clashing heads with teammate Cornelia Kapocs in training.

 The timing is frustrating, with the experienced defender close to rejoining the matchday squad before the incident. Bonner had missed Liverpool’s previous game against Tottenham.

Taylor explained: “We have had a clash in training this week where Gemma Bonner will unfortunately miss the weekend due to a head clash with Kapocs. That’s disappointing because we could’ve got Gemma back with the squad but it is the one game so we will be able to get her back integrated with the team next week.”
