Liverpool confirmed that they are out of their rut with their best 90-minute performance in months to swat aside Real Madrid last night. Only Thibaut Courtois prevented Liverpool from racking up a heavy win over Los Blancos on a memorable Champions League night inside Anfield. I was there for the occasion and there were a few major talking points...

On a pitch with Jude Bellingham, Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga, Dominik Szoboszlai was very comfortably the best midfielder on the pitch. Is that a surprise? On current form, no. But still, very few would have been putting Szoboszlai on the same level as those three mere weeks ago.

The Hungarian is in outrageous form at the moment. It's not just his obscene engine off the ball but his quality on it. So much of what Liverpool do well in possession runs through him right now, and then he adds to that by pressing so relentlessly out of it that it makes you tired just watching him.
