The trouble with playing on a Friday night is that, if you have no midweek game the following week, it seems an age until the next game.

It’s only Wednesday still, in my mind, an age until the next EFL League One game, away to Stockport County.

But time will pass and we’ll soon be engrossed in the game which will see one set of Hatters pitched against another set of Hatters.

Hopefully, it will be the Bedfordshire Hatters that emerge victorious and claim the three points on offer.

However, if that is to be the case, we’ll have to play better than we did during our late triumph over National League Forest Green Rovers, in the FA Cup 1^st round last Friday evening.

Although we won 4-3, it shouldn’t be forgotten that we were comfortably winning 3-0 before producing a second half performance that was so poor it enabled Forest Green Rovers to come back to 3-3 before Gideon Kadua came to the rescue in stoppage time.
