Florian Wirtz has failed to adjust to life as a Liverpool player since joining in the summer.

Wirtz now has three assists to his name at Liverpool after his impressive performance against Eintracht Frankfurt a couple of weeks ago, but aside from that outing, he’s not really been at the races.

Despite this, Wirtz has managed to create plenty of chances when chosen to play by Liverpool, but the fact that none of the Reds’ attackers have performed all that well has hindered the amount he’s been able to contribute.

Hugo Ekitike is, of course, the exception to this, but there have even been times when the Frenchman has fluffed a chance that Wirtz set up for him.

Many different theories have been floated around about why Wirtz has performed well, but now, it seems like Liverpool may have their own idea.

Last season, Wirtz was Bayer Leverkusen’s star man, with Xabi Alonso’s team more or less built around him.
