Didier Drogba has shared his admiration for Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian King has been one of the main reasons behind the Reds’ dominance over the last few years, with the attacker even contributing to over 50 goals last season.

Things haven’t gone so well for Salah since returning to action for Liverpool in the 2025-26 campaign, with the winger looking like a shadow of his former self.

However, despite his poor run of form, Drogba still has an affinity for the attacker, even dubbing him the “king.”

As mentioned, Salah has had a tough time of it over the last couple of months, with his teammates often outshining him.

Dominik Szoboszlai and Hugo Ekitike have been Liverpool’s two best players thus far, and in comparison to them, the Egyptian King has been half the player.

He was given a rest by Arne Slot in Liverpool’s 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on Wednesday, but it’s unclear whether this will have had any effect on his performances or not.
