I think the one positive we can draw from the FA Cup 1st round win, against Forest Green Rovers, was that we are in the draw for the 2nd round.

It was one of those nights where, at times, we looked good but, most of the time we were bordering on woeful.

The first 19 minutes were indicative of all our recent problems with passes going astray and possession not being suitably kept.

But one decent move, involving Lamine Fanne and Nahki Wells, saw the former sweep home the ball into the top corner of the goal.

Seven minutes later, the sparse Kenilworth Road crowd were celebrating again when Nahki Wells, latching onto a free kick spilled by the Forest Green Rovers keeper, Fiachra Pagel, doubled the lead.

Leading 2-0, at half-time, it now seemed to be a matter of how many more goals Luton Town could grab in what was looking like an emphatic win, especially when, in the 53rd minute, Nahki Wells grabbed his second goal of the night, netting after a move involving Isaiah Jones and Lamine Fanne.

The Hatters were 3-0 and cruising, but Forest Green Rovers were far from being down and out.
